Madrid, the capital of Spain is the largest city in Spain and in the year 2005, it was reported to have a population of over three million in the city and over five million in the metropolitan region. Madrid is popular for its cultural diversity and artistic heritage like the El Prado Museum. Madrid takes pride in its festive nightlife and is known for it in the entire world.

Madrid has a dry climate and can be sometimes extreme and experiences frequent rain during the winter. During the summer, the weather is hot. The best time to visit Madrid is during the spring, especially in the months of April and May.

Madrid is known for its religious history and its royalty. Architectural cathedrals and churches are numerous in the city. They are the highlight for tourists to photograph during their visit.
